Vol. 1 No. 1 (2025): Jurnal Literasi Masyarakat
Iqra Aksara Journal—continuing an academic tradition deeply rooted in thought and the humanities—presents its latest edition, Volume 1, Number 1, 2025, with the central theme "Community Literacy." This inaugural edition serves as an important starting point in expanding the scope of academic discussion and bringing literacy studies closer to the wider public.
This edition is designed to bridge literacy theory and social practice. Its collection of articles explores various dimensions: from digital literacy—how society utilizes social media and online platforms to disseminate knowledge—to critical literacy, which fosters awareness of parsing information and a deeper understanding of context.
Each contribution is written by academics, practitioners, and researchers from various backgrounds—students, lecturers, and community activists. Through a qualitative methodological approach, field research, and literature analysis, this journal addresses key challenges in improving community literacy—such as unequal access to education, the influence of media clickbait, and the low ability to evaluate information.
